Terms of service

You write what your business does; sitemd turns it into a website and serves it on an address under sitemd.app, or on your own domain. The layout is the service's; the words and the pictures are yours.

One account is one person. Keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for what is published from your workspace, and the colleagues you invite act on your behalf.

It stays yours. You give us the right to store it, render it and serve it to the world, which is what publishing is, and nothing more.

You promise it is yours to publish and that it is not unlawful, misleading or harmful: no spam sent through forms, no malware, nothing that infringes somebody else's rights. We may take a site that breaks this offline, and we will tell you when we do.

We keep the service running, keep your content safe, and publish what you publish. The service is young: we do not promise a number for uptime, and there may be interruptions. We keep the database recoverable to any point in the last thirty days.

Writing, previewing and publishing on a sitemd.app address is free. Pro is a monthly subscription paid through Stripe at the price shown in the service. It can be cancelled at any time, runs to the end of the paid period, and a started period is not refunded. A price change is announced a month ahead.

You can delete your account at any time; the privacy policy says what goes with it. We may end the service with three months' notice, or at once if you break these terms. Either way you can take your text out first.

We are liable under Danish law for what we do wrong, up to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before, and not for indirect losses such as lost business. Nothing here limits what the law does not allow to be limited.

Danish law applies, and disputes go to the courts in Denmark.

These terms change when the service changes. A change that matters to you is sent to your email a month before it applies.
